Enoch Buamah, a 19-year-old illegal miner, has been handed a three-month imprisonment with hard labour sentence for stealing alligator pepper.
Buamah appeared before the Tarkwa District Court One for stealing a bag of alligator pepper.
The prosecutor, Inspector Patrick Essien, told the court that the complainant, Fuseini Amadu, a farmer, said Buamah had made away with a fertilizer bag filled with alligator pepper.
Amadu received a tip-off that on the day of the crime, December 12, 2024, Buamah was sighted at his farm cottage with the bag.
Buamah was apprehended and handed over to the Aboso Police by a unit committee task force.
