Coconut Grove Hotel Hosts St. Augustine’s College Staff for Memorable End-of-Year Celebration

Date:

In a spirit of camaraderie and festivity, the teaching and working staff of St. Augustine’s College gathered yesterday at the prestigious Coconut Grove Hotel in Elmina for their annual end-of-year celebration. The event, orchestrated with precision and care, was a perfect blend of relaxation, appreciation, and community.

The celebration was made possible through the efforts of Dr. Moore (APSU 2002), who negotiated the arrangements for the staff. The entire event was generously sponsored by Dr. Nduom (APSU 71), the visionary founder and president of Group Nduom, alongside Dr. Nana Kweku Nduom (APSU 94), the current president of the Group. Their unwavering commitment to education and philanthropy was evident in their dedication to making this day special for the college’s hardworking staff.

The day’s activities were carefully curated to ensure a delightful experience. Staff members participated in various fun activities, fostering team spirit and laughter. The festivities culminated in a sumptuous lunch buffet that showcased Coconut Grove’s renowned culinary excellence, leaving everyone in high spirits.

Adding a touch of history and nostalgia, the staff were taken on a guided journey through Coconut Grove Hotel’s rich heritage as part of the hotel’s 30th-anniversary celebrations. This experience offered fascinating insights into the establishment’s evolution and its role in the community over the years.

The event was a testament to the enduring bonds between alumni of St. Augustine’s College and their alma mater. It also underscored the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the tireless efforts of educators and staff who shape the minds and futures of countless students.

The Coconut Grove Hotel, with its serene atmosphere and exceptional hospitality, proved to be the perfect venue for this unforgettable occasion. As the sun set over Elmina, the staff departed with smiles, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose for the coming year.
