2025 Fifa U-17 WWC: 28 CAF teams to battle for a spot in Morocco

Date:

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has completed the draw for the African qualifiers of the 2025 Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup.

With the exclusion of Ghana, twenty-eight African nations would be battling for five available slots at the global competition to be hosted by Morocco from October 17 to November 8, 2025.

The Black Maidens of Ghana, after the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Morocco, were banned by CAF for age-cheating, after complaints by the Moroccan Federation.

Following the draw held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, twenty-four nations will have a go at each other for a place in the 2nd round of qualifications to square up against the top CAF ranking sides, including Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, and Burundi.

Winners of the second round will head to the final round to secure their places at the tournament to be hosted on African soil.
