Reject tithes and offertory of secular musicians—Empress Gifty dares pastors

Date:

Sensational gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye has charged men of God and Christians to reject the tithe and offertory of secular musicians.

This, according to her, will justify their stance on musicians who sing unholy songs as the devil advocate; otherwise, their judgment is unfounded.

Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday, the “Jesus Over Do” hitmaker maintained that some of those secular musicians who Christians were busy judging them were women and men of God.

“Those people that we judge them, they know God. I have been with a couple of them, and some even play keyboards at church. You don’t joke with such people,” she stated.

Empress Gifty was saying this on the backdrop of those claiming her latest single “Watch Me,” which was written by the Rockstar, Kuami Eugene, was not backed by the Holy Spirit.

“Then the offertory those secular musicians offer in their various churches and the tithes they pay should be rejected by the pastors. Yes, they should return their money because they (secular musicians) pay their tithes,” she dared.

Empress Gifty made it clear that Kuami Eugene was gifted by God, and even as a secular artist, he had proven his Christian mantle through his songwriting skills and thus did not merit any negative judgement.

She further stated that gospel musicians who sing the songs written by secular musicians should also not be judged, noting that they were all collaborating to uplift the kingdom of God through talents.

Elaborating more on the artistic prowess of Kuami Eugene, Empress Gifty said he wrote and produced the hit track and also liaised with another person to think of the costume and the props for the visuals of the song.

She therefore cautioned those who speak against secular musicians to put a stop to it.
