Ten-man Guinea held five-time winners Cameroon to a draw as the Africa Cup of Nations’ preliminary stages continued to yield unexpected outcomes.
Guinea, ranked 80th in the world, looked to cause an enormous upset after Mohamed Bayo gave them a quick lead.
However, after captain Francois Kamano stepped on Frank Magri’s heel, they were forced to play the entire second half with just one player.
Magri nodded in a cross from Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to tie the score for Cameroon, but Guinea tenaciously held on for a well-earned point.
