MAX ENTERTAINMENT: MUSIGA to empower local sound engineers – Bessa Simons

Date:

MUSIGA is working on a laid-out strategy that seeks to empower local sound engineers across the regions, the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has said.

According to him, the initiative would eliminate the inconveniences artistes from other regions faced when traveling to the capital to find sound engineers.

“Most of the good sound engineers are in Accra, so people travel from wherever they are to record here, and so I think if we can work for those in the other regions for them to also improve on their sound, then it will make it easier because they wouldn’t have to travel all the way to the capital,” he explained.

Bessa Simons, in an interaction with the media, indicated that quality sound production and good mixing give music a more appealing tone and contribute to its success.

That, he noted, was the reason MUSIGA has made it a priority to ensure sound engineers give a perfect sound that would meet global standards.

For the country’s songs to travel outside, Bessa Simons said quality sound was key, as attention to the song would only be gained when a good sound accompanied it.
