Roma have another injury scare after Paulo Dybala limped off in tears during the Serie A trip to Cagliari.
Dybala had been rested for Thursday’s 4-0 Europa League victory over Servette at the Stadio Olimpico and returned to the starting XI at the Unipol Domus in Sardinia.
The Argentina international was on the end of a heavy challenge from Matteo Prati and a few minutes later crumpled to the ground holding his left knee.
He was in tears as he underwent treatment, but was able to limp off without help from the medical staff or a stretcher, where he was replaced by Andrea Belotti.
According to DAZN, the medical staff is ‘cautiously optimistic’ that it was nothing more than a heavy bruise to the knee.
