Former Arsenal player Matteo Guendouzi had his house burglarized while he was on the field. Since 2021, Marseille has been the home of the French defender.
However, during a Wednesday night raid on his home, Guendouzi had a £200,000 Rolex watch taken.
While the 24-year-old was participating in Marseille’s 2-1 friendly victory against Bayer Leverkusen at Stade Velodrome, burglars forced entry.
According to reports, they broke in through a bedroom window.
Guendouzi’s wife Mae, who was home at the time and heard the noise, alerted the authorities.
The pair resides in Cassis, a picturesque Mediterranean vacation spot close to Marseille.
Guendouzi’s clubmates are spread out throughout the same city. The local police have launched an investigation.
