John Mensah, a former captain of the Black Stars, advised them to put collaboration first in order to succeed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
John Mensah stated during a press conference at the Ghana Football Association’s Dinner with the Legends that the team can achieve its World Cup goal if they remain together.
In response to criticism of Ghana’s alleged lackluster performance during the international break in September, he noted that friendlies are used to evaluate the team, therefore Otto Addo’s attention is less on results.
The team should give their first game the utmost priority because it will set the tone for the rest of the competition, he added.
Ghana fell to Brazil 3-0 during the international break before defeating last-place Nicaragua 1-0.
The Black Stars face a challenging task in the World Cup because they are paired with Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal in Group H.
At the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakra, they will face Portugal to start their World Cup campaign on November 24, South Korea on November 28, and Uruguay to end it on December 2.
