GPL WK 1: Dreams FC defeat Gold Stars in Bibiani by a slim margin.

On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Dreams FC surprised Gold Stars by winning 1-0, kicking off their 2022–23 BetPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) campaign in style.

At Dun’s Park, a goal by Dana Blessing in the 56th minute gave the Greens the victory.

Despite the close game, head coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu made sure his team got the most points possible and headed home.

Gold Stars made the first effort at scoring, but Lord Bawa Martey, the new goalkeeper, made a fantastic stop to prevent a goal.

Goalkeeper Hammond Nii Kalala made a save after forward Agyenim Boateng was pulled down five minutes into the second half but still managed to find Ali Huzaf, who shot from close range.

Gold Stars gave the visitors everything they had in the final seven minutes, but they were unable to get an equalizer.

Gold Stars, who are in their second season as a top-flight team, are off to a bad start, whereas Dreams are having a good time traveling.
