Asante Kotoko head coach Mariano Barreto is set to hand a starting berth to young striker Francis Andy Kumi, according to deep-seated sources at the club. Kumi, 22, joined Kotoko from second-tier side Unistar Academy in the second window registration. He has been named in the Kotoko matchday squad in the past but according to close sources Barreto will hand him a starting role in the outstanding league fixture against Bechem United which comes off at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Wednesday. The Porcupine Warriors want to quickly find a replacement in attack for Kwame Opoku who has joined USM Algiers and Barreto believes the youngster would fit the bill.
