2nd GFA Vice President, Kurt Okraku third term needless — Ralph Gyamerah Esq

Date:

Former Brong Ahafo Regional Football Chairman Ralph Gyamerah Esq. has shot down the proposal for a woman to be named 2nd Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The experienced football administrator, Esquire Gyamerah, refused to accept the notion that a woman is needed as 2nd Vice President to elevate women’s football in the country as part of ongoing statutory reforms subject to approval by Congress.

“A woman can be the FA president. To make women’s football grow, you don’t necessarily need a woman to be GFA vice president,” he affirmed to Nana Darkwa Gyasi on the Sports Pack show.

On GFA’s president’s bid for a third term in office, Esquire Gyamerah noted it is not needed at this time, with far more pressing issues requiring attention.

He stressed that, in the 2019 statutes presented to the GFA by 40-plus clubs in the country, there was never a mention of the tenure of the presidency.
