Addae-Mensah questions Kurt Okraku third-term bid

Date:

Databank Group Chief Executive Officer Kojo Addae-Menah has shared his disappointment at Kurt Okraku’s decision to go for a third term as president of the Ghana Football Association.

The Ghana Football Association on Saturday, August 2, 2025, announced the Federation of International Football has approved a third-term proposal for its presidency.

Mr Addae-Mensah, despite his disagreement with the third-term proposal, strongly believes that Congress would approve the controversial bid.

“I think I will advise Kurt. I will push the proposal to get Congress to buymy time; when my second term ends, I will step down and let the next president take it from there,” said Mr Addae-Mensah on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.

He was full of praise for the GFA president’s performance so far in his second term, especially securing mouthwatering GHS 1 million for each Ghana Premier League club ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Nevertheless, Mr Addae-Mensah asserted, when Congress meets on August 12, the third term will be approved.
