Henry Quartey, the minister for the interior, has assured of a peaceful atmosphere at the general polls in December 2024.
He cautioned against false statements or reports that would incite unrest and violence in the country, in spite of everyone’s fundamental right to free speech.
The honorable minister insisted Ghana’s security services are ready and equipped to deal with any individual or group that intends to disrupt the peace.
“We will come after you and ensure the law takes its course,” Henry Quartey said during a meeting with the Ghana Police Service in Accra on Monday, April 9, 2024, with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, present at the meeting.
