2024 WPL Super Cup Updates: Unstoppable Hasaacas Ladies march on

Date:

At the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Monday, September 23, there was a flurry of goals on matchday two of the Women’s Premier League Super Cup.

The defending 2023-24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League champions, Hasaacas Ladies, thrashed Supreme Ladies of the Northern Zone 6-0 with goals from Mercy Attobrah, Veronica Baah Kumah, Alice Sarpong, and Belinda Ofori to send them to the next round.

Hasaacas’ biggest rivals, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, enjoyed a convincing 2-1 win over Madina-based Berry Ladies FC after Mary Amponsah scored twice in the first half.

Juliana Vuvor took advantage of Black Princesses’ goalkeeper, Afi Amenyeku’s, error to hand Dansoman-based Faith Ladies a 1-0 victory over Northern Ladies.

Dreamz Ladies produced a stunning turaround 5-1 win over Police Ladies in the final match of the day. Yaa Abrafi cancelled out Mary Berkoh’s opener for Police before half-time. Rose Boakyewaa’s free-kick goal and Abrafi’s second of the game gave Dreamz a 3-1 lead before skipper, Stella Nyamkye bagged her brace for a resounding win.
