Hamza Issah climaxed Hearts of Oak’s anniversary week celebrations with their third consecutive win, moving them to the top four on the Ghana Premier League table.

The former Auroras striker’s clever thinking gave Hearts the lead after just three minutes into the game against Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Meanwhile, the bitter rivals of Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, this time to regional rivals, Nations FC, at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Nafiu Sulemana and the league’s top scorer, Faisal Charwatey, banged home the goals to condemn the revered Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum’s team to yet another disappointing loss.

The resurgence of Dreams FC continues thanks to Razak Salifu’s late goal to hand them a precious 0-1 win away at Wenchi against Vision FC.

The defending league champions FC Samartex were shocked at home by one of the league’s newcomers, Basake Holy Stars, through Samuel Prempeh’s second half goal.
