Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has formally announced his candidacy for re-election.
On the final day for nominations, Okraku arrived at the GFA Secretariat to a raucous mob of supporters demonstrating their unwavering support.
In October 2019, Okraku won the election to serve as the GFA President for the first time, defeating four other candidates and George Afriyie.
Speaking to the media after submitting his application for the coveted GFA position, Okraku outlined his steadfast goal of taking Ghanaian football to whole new levels.
“Ghana football has suffered, Ghana football has struggled but is currently on the rise and I can assure you that, Ghana football is currently in safe hands, and I am that person,” he asserted.
