2023 FIFA CLUB WC: Man City sweep aside Urawa Red to reach first ever final

European champions, Manchester City, who defeated the Japanese champion Urawa Red Diamonds on Tuesday night in Saudi Arabia, will play Brazil’s Fluminense for a chance to win the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time ever.

After Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea, City hopes to become the fourth English team to win the championship.

Urawa Reds’ Marius Hoibraten turned Matheus Nunes’ cross into his own net on the stroke of half time.

Mateo Kovacic quickly adding City’s second after recess turning home Kyle Walker’s pass, past goalkeeper Shusaku Nishikawa.

Just before the hour, Portugal’s Bernardo Silva added City’s third goal, hitting a low shot into the bottom right corner after Nishikawa had blocked Nunes’ attempt.
