Annor Walker, the head coach of the Black Galaxies, claims that God granted his team three goals against Benin on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in their 2023 Championship of Africa Nation qualifying match.
In the first leg of the match, Annor led the Galaxies, formerly the local Black Stars, to a decisive 3-0 victory over Benin.
The manager asserted that God granted him with three goals even though he had hoped for four during the game.
“I was determined and ready to win and win well, I wanted four goals but what God has given me is three, so I have accepted it”
Gladson Awako, Mohammed Alhassan, and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, a trio from Hearts of Oak, were among the scorers.
With the convincing first-leg victory at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Ghana has already made significant progress toward advancing to the next round.
On Sunday, July 31, 2022, the return leg will take place at Cotonou’s Stade de l’Amitié General Mathieu Kerekou.
