2022 World Athletics: Team Ghana finishes fifth at Championship in Oregon

Date:

In the men’s 4x100m relay final at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Oregon, Team Ghana came in fifth place.

The top three teams, Canada, the United States, and Great Britain, were followed by the Ghanaian foursome, who had a time of 38.07 behind them. Jamaica was the fourth team.

Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Emmanuel Oduro-Manu, and Joseph Paul Amoah made up Team Ghana’s foursome.

Thanks to Joseph Paul Amoah’s great performance and 8.22-second time, Ghana earned an automatic spot in the final.

Amoah’s 8.22 second performance was the fastest personal effort over the heats.
