X-PLUZ: I regret getting married – Nollywood star, Ini Edo.

Date:

In a recent interview with well-known Nigerian media personality Chude Jideonwo, Nollywood actress Iniobong Edo revealed details of her failed marriage and admitted she had second thoughts about being married in the first place.

The stunning actress wedded American businessman Philip Ehiagwina on November 29, 2008, but their union lasted just five years before they split up in 2013.

In the interview, Ini Edo revealed that her family forced the marriage on her and that she would only consider being married to the right person.

“I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn’t just the right move to make,” she stated.

The actress welcomed a child through surrogacy in 2021 and disclosed that she made the decision as a result of miscarriages.
“I chose surrogacy because I had a couple of miscarriages. And I got tired of trying”, she said.

“I don’t have a husband. So I’m like, I want a child for myself, whether I have a husband or not. So, what other options would I have? And I wanted it to be my child. My eggs. Thankfully, my eggs are good so I did that”, she added.
