World Cup Qualifier : Ghana beat Zimbabwe on Milovan’s debut

The Black Stars of Ghana managed to beat the Warriors of Zimbabwe 3-1 in a 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The game which was played on Saturday October 9, 2021 saw the Black Stars snatch a vital win.

Ghana were confident going into the game and it too Coach Milovan Rajevac’s side just five minutes to opened the scoring through midfielder Kudus Mohammed.

At this point Ghana were in total control of the game and ended the first half 1-0.

The second half did not start brightly for Ghana as Alexander Djiku gave away a penalty which Knowledge Musona converted for Zimbabwe to make it 1-1.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey restored Ghana’s lead in 66th minute before Captain Andre Ayew made it 3-1 in the final minutes of the game.

Ghana are second in Group G with 6 points just one behind South Africa with 7.

The Black Stars play Zimbabwe on Tuesday October 11, 2021 in Harare.
