Women’s FC Cup: Police Ladies kick out Army Ladies, Ampem Darkoa wins Bono derby

Date:

The 2024-25 Women’s FA Cup commenced with the Round of 64 on Friday, November 8, through to Sunday, November 10, as six Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League sides faced each other.

Oaks FC of Hearts of Oak suffered a 0-1 defeat at home to Sissamba at the Oak Complex on Friday.

In a repeat of last season’s final, Police Ladies avenged their defeat to Army Ladies by knocking them out of the competition 5-4 on penalties.

Prisons FC were stunned at home by 2022-23 winners Ampem Darkoa Ladies. Mary Amponsah and Linda Owusu Ansah scored to hand the visitors a 0-2 victory.

Joyce Atimbilla scored the only goal as Jonina Ladies defeated Premier League rivals Epiphany Ladies to advance to the next round of the FA Cup.
