Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is extremely confident in the quality of players at his disposal at Asante Kotoko to win the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko ascended to the top of the league courtesy of a 1-0 win against Karela United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 26, 2025, as their closest competitors, Bibiani Gold Stars and Nations FC, slipped.

Following the crucial victory, the head coach of Kotoko, Dr. Narteh Ogum, highlighted the need for his team to keep winning games because of the plethora of quality players at hand.

“We have the quality. We need to blend in the quality to be able to make sure that we keep winning games that will let us win the championship. So the quality is there in terms of goalkeeping, in terms of defence, in terms of midfield, in terms of wingers, in terms of centre forwards. We have the quality,” he said to the media in Kumasi.

The former West Africa Academy coach further iterated the responsibility of his technical team to ensure every part of the team is synchronised, and the quality of the players ultimately utilised.

Kotoko remain unbeaten in their last five matches, winning four games and drawing one. The race for this season’s title appears to be one of the closest so far since the 2019-2020 season, which had to be nulled nearly mid-way through the season due to Covid-19.
