The Black Satellites of Ghana finished third at the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Boys Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win over Niger.
Aziz Misbau gave Ghana the lead from the penalty spot in the 5th minute of the game after his cross struck the hand of the Nigerien defender in the 6-yard box.
The Niger team walked off the University of Ghana pitch after the referee’s decision to award Ghana a penalty, prompting officials to convince them to continue the match.
Ghana’s captain Misbau sealed his brace and Ghana’s second with a masterful tap-in from close range in the 79th minute.
Desmond Ofei’s Black Satellites held on for the bronze medal, as Ivory Coast pipped Nigeria 1-0 to win the tournament.
