On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, Samed Oppong, a former player for Ashgold and Asante Kotoko, graduated from the United States Military Academy.
In 2005, the former player, who was born in Kumasi, played for the Ghana national u-17 team. Before spending a brief time with E.S Setifienne in 2011 then moving to Ashanti Gold SC in the same year, he transferred from King Faisal Babes to Asante Kotoko in 2009.
He relocated to Cyprus in 2013 to join Ethnikos Achna FC, and then he traveled to the US in search of a much better life.
