Stade Reims striker Folarin Balogun will be able to represent the nation of his birth, the United States, at the international level switching from England.
Prior to this move, the young American never received a call-up to the England squad and had often expressed his frustrations through social media a number of times.
Balogun was eligible to play for the United States, England, or Nigeria. The youngster currently sits fifth on the Ligue 1’s scoring table with 19 goals and two assists in 34 matches.
The London-raised forward represented the United States at the U-18 level but played for England youth teams at U-17, U-18, U-20, and U-21 levels. As of late, the striker has made 13 appearances for the England U-21s and bagged seven goals.
