U-20 Women’s World Cup – We’re are in a difficult group – Black Princesses manager Ben Fokuo

Date:

Ben Fokuo, the head coach of the Black Princesses, has set his sights on winning his team’s opening match against the United States in the Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

On August 11, 2022, Ghana, who is in Group D, will open the tournament at the Estadio Alejandro Morera against the United States.

Fokuo thinks that the Ghanaians will have a successful tournament if they defeat the Americans.

“My target is to win my first game against the USA. If you win the first game it gives you a lot of motivation,” he said.

Group D of the competition pairs Ghana with the United States, Japan, and the Netherlands.

Although the group is challenging, the manager acknowledged that his team is prepared to compete.

“Looking at our group it is very difficult because of our opponents who are currently ahead of us. This is a new year and we know we can also compete and perform against them,” he said.

“We are really prepared to face our opponents. All the countries are strong and tough so we have to work hard,” he added.

On August 10, 2022, the U-20 Women’s World Cup will begin and go until August 31, 2022.
