Hearts of Oak contract termination: I want to play for Chelsea – Larry Sumaila

Date:

After being released by Accra Hearts of Oak, the current MTN FA Cup champions, Ghanaian defender Larry Sumaila has set a lofty goal for his professional future.

The right defender, who is 25 years old, has hopes of playing for English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea. He was one of the six players released by the Phobians prior to the new season.

“It is the dream of every player to play abroad. Though I’m fan of Real Madrid but it is my dream to play for Chelsea in England,” Larry Sumaila said in an interview on a Koforidua-based FM station.

Prior to the start of the new season, the Phobians released Patrick Razak, William Dankyi, Larry Sumaila Ibrahim, Manaf Umar, Kofi Kordzi, and Frederick Ansah Botchway.

Since his debut in the Ghana Premier League in 2020, he only made 18 appearances for the Phobians and leaves Accra Hearts of Oak with five trophies.

Under the guidance of coach Samuel Boadu, Sumaila won two MTN FA Cups, the Ghana Super Cup, the President’s Cup, and the Ghana Premier League (GPL) .
