TRANSFER NEWS: Top European Clubs Chase Nana Opoku Ampomah After Forge FC Heroics

Date:

Ghanaian forward Nana Opoku Ampomah is once again lighting up the football scene, with multiple European clubs battling for his signature following a string of electrifying performances for Canadian side Forge FC.

The 29-year-old, born on January 2, 1996, has emerged as one of the standout players in the Canadian Premier League, claiming Man of the Match honors four times in his last eight appearances—a testament to his form, flair, and finishing.

Ampomah, who previously dazzled fans in Europe with stints at Waasland-Beveren, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Royal Antwerp, is now on the radar of Cercle Brugge and La Louvière—both Belgian Pro League sides—with Beitar Jerusalem of Israel also expressing strong interest in the Ghanaian winger.

Sources close to the player reveal that scouts from Cercle Brugge and La Louvière, the latter recently promoted to the Belgian Jupiler League, have already submitted preliminary inquiries to Forge FC. Swiss side FC Sion, one of the country’s most historic clubs, is reportedly among the clubs showing interest in Nana Opoku Ampomah, according to sources.

Based in the city of Sion, the club plays in the Swiss Challenge League and is known for its strong domestic cup record and passion for discovering top talent.

Ampomah’s pace, directness, and eye for goal have made him a constant threat in the CPL and a prime target for clubs seeking an experienced, in-form winger with a proven European track record.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Nana Opoku Ampomah’s transfer could soon become one of the most talked-about moves involving a Ghanaian player. Watch this space.
