President John Dramani Mahama has ordered a nationwide manhunt for suspects who have absconded in connection with the National Service Authority (NSA) financial scandal.
Speaking during his 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, Mahama revealed that he had directed security agencies to declare the fugitives wanted, emphasizing that those implicated must be held accountable.
“Such brazen stealing of state resources should not go unpunished,” Mahama asserted, vowing to ensure that justice is served. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fighting corruption and preventing financial mismanagement across all sectors.
The President assured Ghanaians that efforts were already underway to track down the absconded suspects and bring them to justice. He also called on relevant authorities to recover stolen funds and implement stricter measures to prevent future incidents of financial misconduct.
Mahama reiterated that his government will not tolerate corruption, pledging strict enforcement of laws to safeguard public resources and restore accountability in state institutions.
