President John Mahama has declared the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Gifty Oware-Mensah, and other suspected culprits wanted.
Mrs. Oware-Mensah, who served under the previous administration of the New Patriotic Party’s rule, doubles as the women’s representative on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and is considered by many as the face of the serious allegations.
The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) submitted a list of over 2000 public complaints of corruption acts to the Attorney General of Ghana, including allegations of fraud against Mrs. Oware-Mensah.
Delivering the State of the Nations Address at the August House, Parliament, President Mahama revealed he has ordered culprits to be declared wanted.
“I have directed culprits of NSS ghost names to be declared wanted,” he said before the House.
