The old students of Nkwatia Presby Senior High School (NOSA) have launched the 60th anniversary celebrations of their beloved school at the GNAT Hall on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Popularly known as “Nkwasco”, the theme of the anniversary which will come off on November 29, 2025, is “60 years of transformative education: Shaping the future through character building; a shared responsibility of stakeholders.”
According to the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Glori Baafi, the character building of students does not solely rest on the shoulders of the school.
Mrs Baafi, therefore, called on parents, alumni, and the government to support the transformative agenda in the next decades of the Nkwatia-based school.
The head of gynaecology at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital and special guest of the launch, Mr Isaac Osei Kwarteng, advised students present that education is more than the pursuit of grades or accumulation of certificates.
He further echoed the call by the headmistress for all to join in shaping the next generation of students at his alma mater into leaders ready to give all for the country.
