Samartex to Surprise Others in GPL—Christopher Ennin

The head coach of former Ghana Premier League (GPL) winners, FC Samartex, Christopher Ennin, has promised a big surprise in the 2025/26 season.

The Timber boys had a difficult 2024/25 season following their shocking league triumph in the 2023/24 season under former manager,

Coach Ennin took over the reins at the club in December 2024 while the team had only amassed 17 points from 14 matches.

“We are going to compete. We are going to pull a big surprise this season. The league is going to be tough,” he confessed to Max TV.

FC Samartex are hosting the annual Nsekyire Cup, a pre-season tournament at the Nsekyire Stadium in Samraboi.

The tournament will serve as an opportunity for the former Bechem FC gaffer to fine-tune his team ahead of the new season.
