The death is reported of Jahn Regensburg’s German-born Ghanaian winger, Agyemang Diawusie, aged 35.
The cause of Diawusie’s death is unknown at this time, as his family has yet to make a statement.
“The Jahn family mourns with the bereaved, and our thoughts are with Agyemang’s family, relatives, close friends, and companions. Due to the terrible situation and out of respect for his family, we ask that their privacy be respected,” a statement from the club read on their social media handles.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Berlin, Diawusie represented Germany at the youth level before going on to play for RB Leipzig, SpVgg Bayreuth, Dynamo Dresden, and Jahn Regensburg.
He is known to be a cousin of Black Stars winger Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer.
