Ref decided Kotoko wins FA Cup – Golden Kick gaffer

Date:

The head coach of Golden Kick FC, Fiifi Parker Hansen, is appalled by the performance of referee Latif Adaari in the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup final.

Golden Kick suffered a disappointing loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday night at the University of Ghana Stadium.

According to the gaffer, Hansen, the referee made the decisive call of the game, which eventually swung the outcome in favour of Kotoko.

Referee Latif Adaari, in his best judgement, whistled for a penalty for Kotoko in the 90th minute, as goalkeeper for the Division One side Kelvin Kofi Saaba was believed to have fouled Kwame Opoku, who didn’t waste the chance to secure his team’s tenth FA Cup title.

“God didn’t decide the game; the referee did,” Hansen let out to Max TV’s renowned journalist Prince Annang in his post match interview.
