Awards schemes must come with honor, credibility, and transparency, the General Manager of Praise Achievement Awards (PAA), Pastor Joseph Nana Sarpong, has said.
According to him, his outfit has worked over the years to improve the integrity of the PAA scheme to avoid any misunderstanding.
Speaking in an interview with Max Drive in Accra on Thursday, Sarpong indicated that his outfit even opened the window for recommendations and ways to improve the event to cover all the major loopholes that come with organizing awards.
He said his outfit had even paved the way for any aggrieved nominee to challenge the awards.
“We have a system in place for any nominee who feels that he or she is bullied to come and check the system to know the voting pattern and know why he or she did not win the awards,” Sarpong said.
He maintained that PAA was not given to people based on merit or favor and debunked claims that they at times sell the awards to people who pay his outfit.
Sarpong maintained that PAA comes with transparency and credibility and was also designed for nominees to gain 60 percent votes from the public and 40 percent votes from the board.
He then charged individuals who wanted to win to rather invest their resources into the vote.
