Joe Salam Abubakar has heaped deserving praise on the president of the Ghana Football Association over his interventions in Ghana’s juvenile football.
Mr Abubakar’s comment on Max FM’s Sports Pack Show precedes the upcoming launch of the Colts Football 2026/27 season on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
According to the Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, Mr Abubakar, the GFA president, Kurt Okraku, has brought positive changes to Colts Football.
Reacting to President John Mahama’s query on the current state of Colts football, Mr Abubakar believes the first gentleman of the land’s comment was quite unfortunate.
With the support of the KGL Foundation, the GFA, in recent times, has organised annual regional youth tournaments to boost the growth of grassroots football.
The Chairman, therefore, called for more support for the Kurt Okraku-led GFA administration for the continuous promotion of Coltsolts football in the country.
He noted that Colts football has contributed largely to the success of the women’s game.
