Date:

H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, commissioned a package of medical equipment and infrastructure to enhance service delivery in the country.

The commissioning forms part of an official launch of the Free Primary Health Care (FPHC) initiative, demonstrating the president’s commitment to ensuring that services are accessible to all.

ECG machines, ultrasound scanners, defibrillators, and vital signs monitors are among equipment unveiled at the launch at Dodowa in the Shai Osudoku constituency.

Also among them are hospital beds, wheelchairs, examination couches, autoclaves, and a range of support equipment such as instrument and dressing trolleys.

He added that the FPHC initiative, aside from being free, will also ensure that the system is adequately resourced to deliver quality care.
