St. Augustine’s College (AUGUSCO) have been dealt with yet another disappointment in a national quiz in the year 2024 as the Presbyterian Boys School, Legon, won the National Investment Quiz.
The Presbyterian Boys School, commonly referred to as PRESEC Legon, produced a stunning comeback in the final round of the competition, which AUGUSCO had been leading since the first round to win the coveted business competition.
Owusu Anane Kwadwo, Asare Andrew Kwabena Panor, Ani Daivid Osei, Mensah Jacob Bonsu, and Boakye Osei Christian represented last-year winners, Prempeh College, who finished last.
St. Johns Grammar, nicknamed the “Grammies,” fell behind St. Augustine’s College in third place with 49.8 points, and were represented by Sarkodie Francis Offeh, Ankomah Richmond, Michael Adjei, Maxwell Gyimawu, and Owusu-Ansah Christopher.
Amartey David Nii Amartey, Tandoh Buahin Aboagye, Beblie Richmond Elorm, Bindifrim Jonas Kwadwo, and Glover Samuel Mawuli struggled to halt PRESEC’s run in the last round as they surrounded the lead to the eventual winners.
PRESEC managed to overturn the seasiders’ (AUGUSCO) lead to finish the competition with a massive nine-point gap courtesy of the quick-thinking of Samuel Nikoi Ish-Kotey, Kelvin Ofori-Atta, Calloi Prince Amponsah, Jethro Ausa Nyame Arthur, and Elikem Yao Adotevi.
