Police Intercept 4000 Parcels of Narcotic Substances

Date:

Four thousand (4000) parcels of suspected narcotic substances have been seized by the Ghana Police Service.

An intelligence-led operation on a search conducted on a DAF Long Trailer with registration number GW 1943-09 resulted in the discovery of the parcels.

The driver of the long trailer and suspect, Amidu Jubril, was stopped in Dambai with the 4000 parcels of suspected narcotic substances wrapped in yellow masking tape hidden within the vehicle’s compartment.

The suspect is being detained and assisting the police with investigations as they seek to uncover the sources behind the drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, the long trailer has been impounded, and all exhibits have been retained for evidential purposes.
