Piesie Esther explains why Serwaa Amihere is featured in ‘Atɛɛne’ video

Date:

Popular gospel artiste Piesie Esther has warned Ghanaians who are busy criticizing the media personality Serwaa Amihere over her sex scandal to desist from the act.

According to her, there’s none who is righteous to point accusing fingers at Serwaa.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Thursday, the “Way Me Yie” hitmaker stated that Serwaa was an adult and whatever happened between her and Henry Fitz was something that many adults do.

“No! Serwaa Amihere is an adult. The fact that others are not found in the act is not justification that they are better than Serwaa. The Bible says judge not for you not to be judged,” she said.

Citing the Bible as an example, Piesie Esther noted that when the prostitute was found in the act and was about to be stoned to death, Jesus intervened and asked the person who had not sinned before to throw the first stone, but none was able to cast a stone.

She further stated that Serwaa was a lovely person and so “sweet,” thus did not merit the judgment the public was giving her.

“Serwaa Amihere is so sweet and a very nice person if you get to know her. It’s only on social media that people are judging her since they don’t know her in person,” Piesie Esther added.

The singer said this in response to critics who were questioning her intentions for including Serwaa Amihere in the visuals of her new song “Atɛɛne (Overturned),” knowing the scandal the newscaster was involved in.
