Creative Arts Leaders Squander Funds— Lekzy Decomic

Date:

Renowned comedian Lekzy Decomic has raised eyebrows at leaders who don’t prioritise the creative arts sector in the disbursement of funds.

According to him, the creative art sector has the tendency of making unemployment take a back seat in the country, yet less is done to develop the sector.

“Our knowledge about art is not deep; that’s why even when we are disbursing funds to the ministries, the leaders prioritise many sectors, and the little fund left is given to the creative art sector,” he bemoaned.

Lekzy Decomic expressed these sentiments during an exclusive interview with the Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday.

“The creative art sector is the only sector that creates employment avenues for people. There’s no better one-district-one-factory than empowering those in the creative art industry,” he stated.

‎In moving forward, Lekzy called on leaders to invest more into the sector to make unemployment something of the past.
