Popular Stand-up Comedian, Emmanuel Nkansah Ansong known in the industry as Lekzy Decomic has disclosed that he was attacked by the foot soldier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for making fun of the party’s flagbearer.

According to him, the incident occurred years ago in the era of the NDC government during an award show.

‎Lekzy Decomic made this revelation during an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday where he said the joke did not sit down well with the foot soldier and he strangled him to leave a word of caution to him.

“I have made fun of our political leaders, but the one I was attacked for was during a previous NDC era, for which I don’t want to disclose the date, when an NDC foot soldier came to strangle me,” he recalled.

The comedian stated that the foot soldier threatened him not to make fun of the NDC flagbearer.
‎
“He said if I don’t have any jokes or I don’t have any employment, then I should stop the comedy because that is not my field. I shouldn’t ever think of making fun of his flagbearer,” he added.

Lekzy Decomic used the opportunity to school Ghanaians that every joke had a victim; therefore, they shouldn’t take jokes to heart.
‎
“If the joke doesn’t have a victim, then it is not a joke. The bottom line is how you will do it so that the person will have a fair share of what is happening,” he added.
