Otto Addo Needs More Technical Brains

Date:

Otto Addo has requested additional members for his technical team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars made a turnaround in form after the mammoth 2025 AFCON qualification failure by reaching the global showpiece in stunning fashion.

After a brief monitoring during the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, it was discovered that the host country had up to 22 technical team members.

Discussing the Ghana’s preparation for the World Cup on Max FM’s Sports Pack, Sheikh Tophic Abdul-Kadir Sienu, the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Senior Communication Manager, disclosed Otto Addo asked for his technical staff to be beefed up.

The head coach has been travelling around Europe monitoring players and visiting injured or recovering players, as he seeks to maintain and improve relationships with the players.

Ghana has been pitted against England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L of the competition. The Black Stars will kick off their campaign against Panama on June 17, 2026.
