Osman Bukari: My goal against Portugal is the best moment in my life

Date:

The 2022 World Cup goal against Portugal, according to Ghanaian international Osman Bukari, was the happiest moment of his life.

The 26 players who represented Ghana at the world championship in Qatar, when Ghana loses in the group stage, included the Red Standout Belgrade star.

When Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal in the World Cup opener, the winger who had been in excellent form put his name on the scoresheet.

He has scored two goals for the four-time African Champions since making his national team debut.

The Red Star Belgrade winger claimed his goal against the European nation was the best moment of his life, if not the best goal, in an interview with a Kumasi-based FM station.

“My goal against Portugal is not the best goal but it’s my best moment in my life because the World Cup is the most watched and so, to score at the tournament is something but it is not the best goal”

Following a 2-0 loss against Uruguay, the Black Stars fell out of the tournament after the first round.

The Black Stars needed a draw or win against Uruguay after defeating South Korea in their last group match to go to the round of 16.

However, the team was unable to come to an agreement with Uruguay, its so-called “enemy.”

As happened in South Africa at the 2010 World Cup, Ghana had a solid start to the game before crumbling after captain Andre Ayew missed a penalty in the 21st minute.
