Oak Ladies and FC Samartex Ladies to Debut in Women’s Premier League

Date:

Newly promoted Southern Zone clubs Oak Ladies and FC Samartex Ladies are set to make their bow at the 2025-26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

Oak Ladies, the women’s team of the Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, will take on the most decorated club in Ghana’s women’s football, Hasaacas Ladies.

Led by former Black Queens captain and coach Mercy Tagoe, Oak Ladies won the maiden GARFA Women’s FA Cup and Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Women’s Division One League last season.

Mercy Tagoe expressed the readiness of her team to go all out against one of the most experienced clubs in the league, Hasaacas Ladies, at the Kpobiman Complex on Saturday, November 1.

The seasoned coach called on the support of the fans ahead of the season, just as they did back when the team was in the middle league fighting for promotion.

Samartex Ladies will kick off their debut season against Ladystrikers on Sunday, November 2, at the Nsenkyire Arena.
