Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been in custody since mid-September. Prosecutors accuse the rap legend of, among other things, sex trafficking, organized crime and sexual violence.
Judges in New York have already denied him bail twice. And after the third attempt, it is now clear: Diddy will remain in prison.
A judge ruled that no conditions could justify his release, saying he posed a threat to the safety of the community. The decision was based on evidence pointing to Diddy’s violent tendencies.
Additionally, it was revealed that Diddy violated communications regulations in prison by paying other inmates to use their telephone access to reach unauthorized contacts.
The judge also mentioned a serious risk of witness tampering and obstruction of the ongoing investigation. It looks like the rap legend will have to stay behind bars until his trial begins in early May.
