Nana Konadu strengthened our cause—MUSIGA ‎

Date:

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has described the late former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as a strong supporter of the arts and cultural heritage of the country.

In a tribute to the late wife of the late former president, Jerry John Rawlings, who died on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at age 76, MUSIGA said Konadu played a pivotal role in the industry and supported MUSIGA to uphold virtues and to help musicians.

Her partnership, MUSIGA said, reflected a belief that culture and service must work together to build a better future for the country.

‎”Art is the heartbeat that keeps a nation singing through its trials and triumphs. Nana Konadu consistently encouraged the Union to allow that heartbeat to soar, to support artistes and to honour Ghana’s heritage,” the union said.

MUSIGA also expressed gratitude to Nana Konadu for her leadership, solidarity and generosity, adding that her relationship with MUSIGA strengthened its resolve to promote Ghanaian music, protect the welfare of artistes and preserve the country’s cultural legacy.
