Mzbel to observe her late mom’s one week in August

Date:

The one-week observation of Charlotte Asi Ocansey, the mother of veteran musician Mzbel, is scheduled to take place at her residence near Baba Yara School in Accra on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

The musician announced this on Thursday, July 8, after sharing the sad news of her mother’s passing on her Instagram page on Tuesday, August 6, where she posted a picture of her late mother with the caption “Rest in Power, Mummy.”

Mzbel has still not disclosed the details surrounding the death of her mother.

“The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away. RIP, Mum,” she said in a post to announce the one-week celebration of Shai-Shai Mummy, as she was affectionately called.

Fans and fellow celebrities have taken to social media to offer their condolences to Mzbel during this difficult time.

The mother of two had, early on in 2022, lost her dad, and she is known for her hit songs, including “E Dey Be,” “Awoso Me,” “16 Years,” “Asibolanga,” “Fufu Funu,” and “Run Away.”

The songstress is also the CEO of Mzbel Music, Bel Group, and Bel Eye Media, among others, and works as both a radio and TV presenter.
